INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

INM is operating an ISO IEC 17025 :2005 accredited and self declared Quality Management System. The INM-QMS is systematically evaluated within the Technical Committee for Qaulity established within EURAMET (see the www.euramet.org site). Consequently the quality of INM services is recognised in all countries affiliated to the CIPM-MRA process (see the www.bipm.org site). Obviously this implies the recognition of the INM SMC in/by all countries member or candidates to the European Union. The recognition of the INM-SMC is the consequence of repeated evaluations performed by various organizations with international relevance. Here are some more important moments in this process:

• September 2003: Two INM laboratories - Mass and Related Quantities Laboratory and Electrical Measurements Laboratory – get DKD accredited. The accreditation was performed according the same general components of the Quality System (the INM Quality Manual and 27 General Procedures) that are used in all INM laboratories.
• October 2003: INM reports to EUROMET QS Forum the presentation documentation for the INM QMS.
• December 2003: The report for the EU/EFTA project «Quality Infrastructure» (EuropeAid 112366): «The quality management system at the INM has improved radically […] INM has made quick progress with respect to its Quality System. In January 2004, the fully-implemented INM Quality System will be presented at the EUROMET QS Forum...» (mestqa.net).
• January 2004: The INM Quality System is presented at the EUROMET QS Forum (euromet.org). The participants express their unanimous confidence in the INM-SMC.
• February 2005: On the opportunity of the EUROMET TC-Q MEETING ORGANIUSED IN Bucharest, the INM-SMC is evaluated by the representatives of all EUROMET affiliated NIMs.. On the same opportunity the completion of the INM SMC implementation is reported to the EUROMET QS Forum. The report is approved.
• February 2006 – The INM SMC status is reported and approved by the EURAMET TC-Q.
• February 2007 – The INM SMC status is reported and approved by the EURAMET TC-Q.
• February - Decemvber 2007 : The INM SMC is revised in order to fully comply with EN ISO 17025 :2005.
• February 2008 – The INM SMC status is reported and approved by the EURAMET TC-Q.
• February 2009 – The INM SMC status is reported and approved by the EURAMET TC-Q..
• February 2010 – The first Re-evaluation Report of the INM SMC reported and approved by the EURAMET TC-Q..
• March 2010: January 2011: The INM SMC is revised after reorganizing INM in 2010
• February 2011: The INM SMC status is reported and approved by the EURAMET TC-Q.
• February 2012: The INM SMC status is reported and approved by the EURAMET TC-Q.
• March 2013: The INM SMC status is reported and approved by the EURAMET TC-Q.
• April 2014: The INM SMC status is reported and approved by the EURAMET TC-Q.
• April 2015: The INM SMC status is reported and approved by the EURAMET TC-Q.
• April 2015: The second Re-evaluation Report of the INM SMC reported and approved by the EURAMET TC-Q.
• April 2016: The INM SMC status is reported and approved by the EURAMET TC-Q.
